My Journey
My journey into healing didn’t begin with a qualification. It began with life itself.
For many years, my life looked very different.
I built a successful international career that allowed me to travel extensively, work with people from many different cultures and enjoy an exciting lifestyle that I genuinely loved. It was rewarding, fast-paced and gave me a strong sense of purpose.
Then everything changed.
Being made redundant after many years in my corporate career was one of the most significant turning points in my life. At the time, it completely rocked me.
Looking back, I realised how much of my identity had become wrapped up in my work. I had been living to work rather than working to live. Without fully recognising it, I had hidden behind my career, avoiding deeper commitments and the accountability that comes with building a truly balanced life.
I had become very good at appearing successful, while quietly losing sight of who I really was beneath the role I had created for myself.
Redundancy forced me to stop.
For the first time in many years, I had the space to reflect on who I was beyond my job title. The questions that emerged during that period led me towards healing, self-discovery and a completely different understanding of what it means to live a meaningful life.
As my own healing unfolded, I discovered that many of the answers I had been searching for were not outside of me, but within me.
That experience inspired me to complete eighteen months of face-to-face professional training in energy healing at the International School of Intuition and Healing in Cape Town.
My training gave me knowledge, understanding and practical skills, but my greatest teacher has always been life itself.
My own experiences have taught me the importance of compassion, listening without judgement and creating a space where people feel genuinely seen, heard and supported.
What once felt like the end of one chapter became the beginning of the life I was always meant to live.
Today, I bring together professional training, intuition and lived experience to support others on their own healing journey. It is a privilege to walk alongside each person as they rediscover peace, balance and hope.
My international business career gave me the privilege of travelling extensively and living for several years in Mauritius, Spain and South Africa. I have also chosen to spend much of my personal time exploring different cultures, believing that every place and every person has something to teach us. Those experiences deepened my understanding that, wherever we come from, our hopes, fears and longing for connection are remarkably similar.
Throughout my life, I have had a deep desire to understand people: their experiences, their emotions and what lies beneath the surface of their words. That curiosity, together with my own life experiences, gradually became compassion. It allows me not only to walk beside someone on their journey, but often to sense the weight they have been carrying, even when they find it difficult to put into words.
I am also grateful to be a mother and grandmother, roles that continue to remind me of the importance of love, patience and human connection.
Professional Qualifications
Kirby Mia Dupont was awarded a Certificate in Healing, Grade Distinction, by the International School of Intuition & Healing (ISIH) on 13 October 2024, having successfully completed the school’s Energy Healing Course with the British Alliance of Healing Associations and the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM).
While this qualification reflects formal professional training, Kirby believes that her greatest teacher has been her own life journey. Having experienced profound personal challenges and healing herself, she combines accredited training with compassion, intuition, and a deep understanding of the emotional and energetic causes of dis-ease.
